Trick-or-Treat Contest for Your Inner Child

Many Beach Coast adults look forward to Halloween as much as their kids because it gives them the chance to be (or at least act) like kids again! Well, you won’t have to wait ‘til the end of the October for some Halloween fun. We are happy to announce our “Trick-or-Treat” game and all you need is a computer to play. Here’s how it works. Hidden within the “pages” of this issue of The Beach Coast are ten pieces of Halloween candy. All you have to do is find them! Take notes of where you’ve located them and then click on the link below to fill out the entry form. At the end of the month the entries of everyone who correctly identified the locations of all ten pieces of candy will be entered in a random drawing for a chance to win a prize. Entering often will increase your chances of winning. Final entries must be in by 3pm on Friday, October 21st, and the winner will be announced in the November issue.
So what are you waiting for?  Go find those treats!

And the winner is…Beach Coast residents Amanda and Keith Herman, who make their home in St. Joseph, Michigan, own this beautiful, sweet-natured two year-old yellow lab.  Amanda says Lucky Duck was remarkably easy to train.  By the time Lucky was eight weeks old she had learned to sit, shake, and lie down.  The Hermans are happy to live close to Lake Michigan, which is Lucky Duck’s favorite place in the world.  She loves playing catch on the beach and would stay in the water all day long if her owners would let her!

There is only one winner, but we are happy to announce the 2nd and 3rd place contestants: Bosco, a nine year old cockapoo owned by Russell Bodnar, and Tilly, a year-old Harlequin Great Dane whose proud owner is Alyssa Pawlowski.

We thank all of our loyal readers for participating in our second annual Pet Photo Contest and for returning often to vote for their favorite pet!
