Designer Garage Sale Preview Party

The above event, held June 27th in New Buffalo, was a great success thanks to Designer Guild co-chairs John Cannon, Cary Frank and Suellen Long, and the tireless efforts of volunteers, committee members and friends. Proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Benton Harbor and its Capital Campaign, and the Robert R. McCormick Boys & Girls Club of Chicago.

3rd Annual Dunebrook Golf Outing

Community members and friends attended Dunebrook’s third annual Golf Outing on June 17th at Legacy Hills in La Porte. Highlights of the event were the $10,000 hole and the golf ball drop. Net proceeds from the event benefit Dunebrook’s programs for the prevention of child abuse. Dunebrook also advocates for children and provides positive family support and education.

Pink Tea at Historic Barker Mansion

The annual Pink Tea was held June 22nd and June 25th in the garden of Barker Mansion. This delightful pink-themed event is sponsored by Friends of Barker Civic Center and features tea, sweets and savories. Suzanne Keldsen and Marti Pizzini presented "The Life and Times of Harriet Colfax," the story of Michigan City's lighthouse keeper and played and sang songs from the era. Nearly 90 attended each tea and according to Executive Director, Cecilia Zubler, proceeds help with the maintenance of this Michigan City treasure.
