Beach Contests

And the Winner is…

Beach Coast babies are beautiful bundles of sand and surf loving fun! Every one of them is a winner, but only the baby who received the most votes wins a prize. 

And that is Ethan Mellott who turned 9 months old on July 13th. His blue eyes rival the stunning color of the lake on a sunny day and his dad took this picture using his Canon Digital Rebel on Lincoln Township Beach in Stevensville, Michigan. Ethan is the only child of Angela and Joseph Mellott of St. Joseph, Michigan.

Nolan Roule, son of Mark and Sydney Roule of La Porte, came in second, followed by Mason Kubath, whose photo was submitted by his proud mother, Brooke Kubath.

We thank all of our readers for their submissions and for visiting thebeachcoast.com (and encouraging family and friends to do the same) to vote for their favorite Beach Coast baby. 

Calling All Pet Owners!

Last year we ran our very first photo contest and it was such a hit that we’re happy to announce a call for entries for our Second Annual Beach Coast Pet Photo Contest. All types of pets are eligible and if you are a multiple pet household, you may enter as often as you wish. But please, only one pet per photo. The contest will be limited to the first 50 photo entries. With your submission provide the name of your pet, the breed (if known), and your pet’s age.  Also, please provide your phone number so we can contact you if your pet is the winner. You have nearly all of August to submit your photo(s). All entries must be in by Friday, August 26th at 3:00 pm. We will publish photo entries in the September issue and readers may cast votes through Tuesday, 9/27. The winner will be announced in October.  May the best pet (with the most votes) win!
